I built an app release orchestrator to make life easier for our hundreds of app releases, but for a while it ran on my own machine. It worked, but it wasn’t the kind of setup you really want to depend on.
That changed when my company gave us an M4 Mac mini to try things out. Once the orchestrator had a dedicated machine to live on, and once I connected it to OpenClaw, the whole experience clicked.
Now I can just chat with OpenClaw and ask it to release a specific app, and it works. No opening my laptop, no SSH session, no digging through scripts, no mentally stepping through the release process. Just a message.
What makes this fun for me is that it feels like an old idea finally becoming real. Nearly a decade ago, when mobile was taking over everything, I remember telling a DevOps friend: imagine if one day you could just use your phone, send a message like you would to another person, and have a server restart or an operational task happen without needing to open your computer. Wouldn’t that be amazing?
It took a while, but we’re finally there.
